Testimonials
I have known Ravi for many years since he joined NHS England working on the GP clinical pharmacist programme. He brought his enthusiasm for excellence in patient care and passion to see the pharmacy profession working as an essential of the primary care multidisciplinary team . Ravi moved on to the Royal Pharmaceutical Society taking his experiences of working at national level developing his leadership style to ensure inclusive and collaborative working is at the heart of what we do. It has been a pleasure to know and work with Ravi to share ideas and over the years see him flourish.
It was a pleasure watching Ravi grow as a leader following his appointment as Director for England at RPS. His passion for the profession and his care and concern for quality and for the patient were a constant throughout. Able to use his network to gather insight and foster support, proved an asset to his team and his colleagues. His friendly and approachable nature always made it an enjoyable experience to spend time in Ravi’s company.
I was lucky to work with Ravi while he was at RPS. Apart from being great fun to work with, he also had that rare combination of great strategic thinking and great at the planning and delivery side too. That included building partnerships (not least with us at The King's Fund) that worked for everyone. I'm sure he'll flourish in the new role - and indeed, beyond.
An inspirational leader, Ravi's ability to set a clear vision and support his team to deliver it makes him an amazing person to work with. I have had the honour of knowing Ravi for around 10 years. His reputation was of someone who delivers. When I had the opportunity for him to join my team at the Royal Pharmaceutical Society I jumped at the chance. His energy and passion is infectious, he is a considerate leader who knows how to get the best from both his own team and the teams he works alongside. He has a strategic approach to problem solving with a strong ability to focus on the detail when needed to drive things through to completion. He will be an asset to any organisation looking for a compassionate leader to drive forward high performing teams; getting results whilst also treating people with kindness and respect.
I have known Ravi for many years and have followed his career. Ravi is an ambitious person and has accrued lots of experience and expertise in the relatively short time he has been a pharmacist. He has worked in high profile roles with NHS England and the Royal Pharmaceutical Society where he was the Director for England during the pandemic years. Ravi wants to learn so much to progress his career and, more importantly, to ensure patients and the public receive excellent care. Ravi has an international reach and respected on the UK and in countries such as Australia. He is a well rounded and intelligent person and definitely a leader in our profession. This is demonstrated by Ravi being honoured by the Royal Pharmaceutical Society as the youngest ever Fellow of the Society. He is a good friend and a good person.
I worked with Ravi when he presented some expert webinars on pharmacogenomics for our iLearn platform. He is a professional and polished presenter who clearly has expertise in this area as well as great enthusiasm. He was fantastic to work with and he’s also just a really nice easy going chap.
Ravi is a great person to work with. He's got an easy going manner which makes him amiable and easy to connect with, but is at the same time focussed and strategic in his thinking. He's a genuine leader for the profession.
I had the pleasure of working with Ravi for three years in his capacity as Director for England at the Royal Pharmaceutical Society and previously in his role as Vice President of the Primary Care Pharmacy Association. Ravi worked on a variety of projects, most notably developing the Vision for future pharmacy practice in England in conjunction with the Kings Fund. Ravi consistently exceeded expectations in his role and is always willing to go the extra mile and look for ways to improve. His deep grasp of policy is notable as is his ability to leverage an extensive network spanning the wider healthcare landscape. Ravi continually horizon scans to prepare and position for future developments. His presentation skills are exceptional even under intense pressure which is exemplified by his statement to the Health Select Committee when submitting evidence about pressures facing the pharmacy workforce. In addition to his strong technical and operational skills, Ravi is also a great person to work with. He is always positive and upbeat, is a great team played but also leads by example with a superhuman work ethic. I can highly recommend Ravi for any position he pursues. He is a senior healthcare leader with transferable skills, a depth of understanding in policy and business and would be a valuable asset to any team.
Having known Ravi for many years, it is evident to me that he is an astute, competent, knowledgeable, and well-informed colleague and friend. He has the ability to understand the strategic pharmacy and healthcare landscape and articulate this into conversations with meaning and reasoning. He has worked at all levels, locally, regionally, and nationally with the key mantra of excelling for patients and the profession. He is a credit to any organisation he works in.
I have had the pleasure of working with Ravi both whilst he was at NHSE and the RPS. Ravi is passionate about his work and making a difference to patients. He is organised, diligent and always delivers policy and projects to a high standard. His enthusiasm is infectious and he has inspired many at all career stages.
Ravi is a much loved and respected global pharmacy leader, who is incredibly easy going and humble. Within five years of completing his pharmacist training, he became a national director of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society, which is pretty spectacular feat in any industry. I have been following his stellar career from the moment he became a pharmacist and helped a group of GPs in East London showcase the clinical roles pharmacist prescribers can play in general practice, care homes and urgent care services, paving the way for other pharmacists to work in primary care, then led on the national implementation at NHS England. He has achieved all of this through sheer grit, determination and professionalism. In his current role as Head of Pharmacy at Luton & Dunstable Hospital, he has overseen the redesign of pharmacy services and implemented structures/formal processes, where there was none. Ravi is truly unique and a high value asset.
I was fortunate to report to Ravi during my year as a CPhO Fellow. I could not have had a better person to support me during this year and learn from. Ravi is an authentic leader who creates a safe environment for those around him. He builds strong stakeholder relationships and manages these with political astuteness. His work ethic is second to none and he sees the world with a very strategic lense.
I had the pleasure of working with Ravi for a number of years when he was Director for England at the Royal Pharmaceutical Society. I found Ravi to be an inspirational and charismatic leader. I recall particularly his excellent advocacy and articulation of the needs of the pharmacy profession whilst providing evidence to the Health Select Committee, his passion and promotion to advance pharmacogenomics and his commitment to the personal development of his team and self through 360 assessment.
While I was national Director of Primary Care Workforce at NHS England, Ravi joined my team as the clinical lead for a programme introducing pharmacists into general practice. It was a great success. He is full of energy and ideas combined with a natural flare for building networks and creating momentum round a great new initiative. He thinks creatively and helps others do the same while keeping his clinical rigour at the heart. He is compassionate, stepping towards challenges and looks for solutions, navigating through complexity. He brought energy to my team and importantly we had fun, working hard. I highly recommend Ravi.
Ravi is a world class leader in pharmacy. Having worked with Ravi on a number of projects aimed at improving the use of medicines, his leadership style, engagement and expertise is second to none. He’s always willing to learn, listen and engage, and is extraordinarily generous with his time and expertise.
Ravi was one of the first national stakeholders I engaged with when he was at RPS. He was great at building connections and identifying the opportunities for our new Primary Care Network to support greater connections between general practice and community pharmacy. A true values-based leader who was a pleasure to work with.
Ravi’s an exceptional change agent for healthcare practice. He brings and applies evidence to real life problems and influences policy and clinical practice at scale. His horizon scanning has made him an early champion of new models of care. By partnering with colleagues in the academic world he links his future vision to a sound evidence base and convinces decision makers to become champions too.
Whilst working with Ravi, he was an excellent leadership role model for myself and the pharmacy profession as a whole. He was always very supportive and provided sound mentorship for my career development. Since both moving into new roles, I still value Ravi's advice and guidance within my leadership career pathway today and admire his inspiring enthusiasm and ability to eloquently engage with senior stakeholders across all sectors of healthcare.
I worked with Ravi for 4 years at the Royal Pharmaceutical Society when he was Director for England and I was responsible for media relations. His drive, energy and willingness to contribute ideas and messaging for external relations, and his credibility with external stakeholders, was invaluable. He did many short-notice, high pressure reactive media interviews for RPS with national outlets such as the BBC and ITV. In these situations he clearly explained the issues we wanted to get across, carried the message well, focused on the needs of patients and always tried to accommodate advocacy for pharmacy in his work schedule. Ravi is able to quickly build relationships with people and has a sincerity and integrity which generates trust. He is quick to acknowledge team contributions which creates a positive working atmosphere. He is exceptionally driven to achieve, is very approachable and always interested in listening to input from staff at all levels. Any organisation – and their employees – would be lucky to have him on their side.
Ravi is an Inspiring and motivational pharmacist with a wealth of experience in strategic roles unmatched amongst his peers. He has consistently demonstrated a strong work ethic as well as a dedication to working to high standards. In addition to his core skills as a pharmacist Ravi has successfully delivered projects to fruition His commitment and passion to succeed are some of the reasons he has won so many awards. I’m sure in his future work place Ravi will bring a lot of success and growth to the organisation.
Ravi has worked exceptionally hard for his achievements, and I am extremely proud of him. I’ve watched him bring ideas to life to support and develop the pharmacy profession. He has all the qualities of an outstanding leader and is a true advocate for the profession. Ravi has an amazing work ethic and is able to adjust easily to situations and major changes within working and academic environments, he is also able to see beyond the bigger picture. He is willing to help others and as a mentor and coach is there every step of the way. Ravi has supported my career for a number of years and continues to provide that mentorship as a friend. Any team or individuals that get the opportunity to work with Ravi will not regret it.
I had the privilege of serving on the English Pharmacy Board board whilst Ravi held the position of Director for England at the RPS. Throughout our time working together, he consistently impressed me with his unwavering commitment to our organisation and to the profession. Ravi is not only hardworking but also exceptionally transparent in his approach to leadership. He possesses a rare combination of kindness and innovation. Ravi truly has a unique ability to drive progress while ensuring a positive and inclusive work environment. Beyond our professional collaboration, we also bonded over our shared passion for science. Ravi’s personality, dedication and skills make him an outstanding choice for any leadership role.
I had the pleasure of working with Ravi in his roles at both the RPS and at NHS England while I’ve been at the Royal College of GPs over the last few years. Ravi has always been brilliant to work with, he’s incredibly diplomatic, smart, personable and he builds really strong relationships with key stakeholders very easily. He was always fully on top of the policy issues and had a good plan of how to improve things by focusing on realistic solutions. He worked really hard to strengthen collaborations with the RCGP and others, and I’m sure he will achieve great things in any future leadership roles.
Working with Ravi as Head of Pharmacy at L&D Hospital was truly inspiring. His inclusive, open, and approachable leadership style, coupled with his genuine passion for pharmacy, made a significant difference. Ravi's motivational spirit ensured everyone felt valued and included, as he actively listened to concerns and feedback. He consistently led by example, inspiring the team to excel. Ravi's impact on our pharmacy department was profound, and he is undoubtedly a remarkable leader.
Ravi is a breath of fresh air for the pharmacy profession and for the NHS in general. His passion and ability to envision a better way of doing things has made a massive contribution to patient care and the health care teams delivering that care. He combines his subject matter expertise with a desire for service improvement with a willingness to do the hard graft. It's been great to witness Ravi transfer his skills and experience gained in primary care and NHS pharmacy organisations to secondary care and system level more recently, and especially to see the positive impact that is already having.
Ravi is an experienced and inspirational pharmacist. Ravi has kindly mentored me and shared his expertise which has helped me grow in my career and roles. Having known Ravi for a number of years, I know he is a forward thinking and strategic leader who has empowered pharmacists working in primary care and has used his leadership skills to positively shape the role of pharmacists.
